DIY products

The old adage ''you get what you pay for'' is  apt concerning DIY tools . If the branded products on a market stall are considerably cheaper than a DIY warehouse then the chances are they are fake.

The major DIY stores do their own brand tools but  it is not advisable to buy the budget versions. They will not last long and though the stores will replace them but you will spend more time taking them back than using them.

Catalogue stores such as screwfix machine mart and toolstation who are also on-line are constantly doing deals and offers on tools.

You should be wary of buying cheap tools which may turn out to be dangerous in use. You do not need many though - a good set of screwdrivers, a hammer and maybe a chisel will get you a long way - with a decent panel saw and some pliers to cover most jobs. Always buy power tools from a reliable outlet.
